I ordered my truck on 1/12, order accepted by GM 1/14 and took possession on 3/5. I would rate my experience a 10 out of 10. My salesman Casy was very professional and kept me up to date throughout the process. Definitely ask for him. I got a fair deal, never felt pressured, and Casey was completely honest and upfront during the entire endeavor. I highly recommend you visit this dealership if ordering or purchasing a new car. I had two services done, not sure which this one is for. I had a transmission issue with my truck that is less than two years old. At first the news was not good, part was on backorder, and there were no loaners at the dealership. Smiley then went to work and tracked down the part at another dealership and had my truck fixed in a day. appreciate the sense of urgency to get this done

Having a 2011 F350 King Ranch dually to trade, (with extremely low mileage) I was extremely happy with the trade in value given to me by Mr. Marquis. My experience with Ross Downing Chevrolet Service was unacceptable. I brought in my 2021 C8 because the convertible top was not functioning properly. After a few days, I received a call stating that the repair would cost $7,700 due to bent rails. I went to the dealership to speak directly with the technician, who claimed the only way this damage could occur was by opening the top while driving. I informed him that the vehicle’s system prevents the top from operating above the speed Chevrolet designed it for, making his explanation implausible. I explained to him that the car was parked in my driveway being detailed when it happened. I also reported that the rear window wouldn’t operate electronically and could only be moved manually using an Allen key at the rear window motor. Furthermore, the convertible top lifted on the passenger side but not on the driver’s side. The tonneau cover moved to the closed position while the top was opening, causing it to strike the convertible roof. These symptoms clearly indicate the top was out of sync and that the motor or controller on the driver’s side was malfunctioning. Despite this, the technician doubled down on his wind damage theory, dismissing the mechanical failures I described. It was evident he made no effort to properly diagnose the problem. When the extended warranty adjuster arrived, the technician repeated the same baseless claim about wind damage without conducting any additional troubleshooting. Therefore causing my extended warranty to deny the claim. In my view, the technician lacked the skill—or willingness—to properly diagnose the issue. His personal assumptions interfered with a professional and accurate assessment of the problem. I will be contacting the District Service Manager and opening a formal case with the Executive Resolution Team. Additionally, I will be sharing my experience across all Corvette forums where I’m an active member, and this message has already been relayed to my Corvette Club. Once I receive the Chevrolet survey, I will be responding with the same level of detail and seriousness expressed here.

I was an out of state buyer and did everything remotely. The salesman was not timely with responding to my questions and addressing my concerns. I would text and call him and get a response four or five hours later if not more, with the rationale that it is a busy dealership. Towards the end of my car buying experience I decided to reach out directly to the finance manager to address my concerns and he addressed them timely. Overall, I love the car and appreciate the finance manager taking time out of his day to help a customer. I recommend that you look into the out of state buying process and ensure that salesman are equipped with dealing with these customers effectively and have the time to serve these customers because I’ve purchased many cars this way and this one was the worse experience. No negotiation was needed, only needed to answer some questions timely. Oh last part is I received my car on Saturday and didn’t even have a tag or paperwork to drive the car till Monday. Once again, I ask that you look into the remote buying process because you can lose potential great customers with the inefficiencies and poor service that exists.l in this area.

While I was traveling in my company truck, it broke done on Highway 12 just down the road from the dealership. Todd greeted me when I walked and treated my I was a longtime customer. My vehicle was stolen and I took it in for a comprehensive diagnostic test to make sure it was mechanically sound and safe. I was told it only needed motor mounts, which I had changed. When I left there was a loud noise. I brought it back and it was the transmission. I relied on the original estimate to keep my vehicle that had been totaled. Now I am out the $1,400 for the motor mount plus the additional amount the insurance would have paid me.

Our salesperson, Tori, was great to deal with. Not pushy and very friendly. One downside to the experience was there was only one finance person at the dealership and it took forever to get in his office since there were four people ahead of us. Once we got in there, he was good to deal with. Only thing I was a bit dissatisfied with, they didn’t detail my truck before I picked it up. They had plenty time as I did the deal on Friday night and I didn’t come pick it up until Monday evening. It was right off the truck, so they had to finish setting it up, but they didn’t clean anything. The carpets had a ton of lint I had to spend an hour or so getting that cleaned.

The service team took three (3) days to diagnose my vehicle for a transmission failure, which is way too long. I was then provided a $9,000 plus estimate to repair my vehicle without any breakdown of what that costs intels. A cost of $9,000 plus is more than the vehicle is worth. Three days to determine there is a transmission failure is an unacceptable amount of time. On the really high cost, I would like to see a price breakdown of what that intels on a transmission replacement. I would also like the service team to provide customers with other options when there’s an extraordinary cost, .

I was there an extremely long time which was quite frustrating. And it's so cold in there that it was miserable. Fortunately, Cherise told me there was a bench outside the Service entrance where I could warm up. The dealership does an awesome job of taking care of my little vehicle but I don't think an oil change/tire rotation should take 2 hours.

I asked before service began if they check the tire pressure and was told they do. When I got my truck back the tire pressure was still the same as it was when dropped off. The recommended pressure listed on the tag in the door is 38 psi and the tires had 31 and 32 psi. I really would think they would check this during the inspection.

Working with Todd in service is great. The design engineers need to be fired. A $ 176.00 thermostat requires five hours of labor at over $200 an hour. So, a thousand dollars to change a $176 part. Ruined my day!

The prices is too high for what I had done just to get the floors changed. I paid them at $1300 on my Corvette and that is a high price. I’ve been asking y’all to send me some kind of coupons y’all never sent it to me yet and I brought two cars from y’all six months apart. First of all, I want to give kudos to the ladies in the office. They helped me get the repairs scheduled quickly after I told them that I had to schedule around my wife's therapy. After that though it was downhill. When I was trying to do the repair myself, I called many auto parts stores and realized that having the repairs done at Ross Downing would be covered by my insurance. Before scheduling the repair, I had already talked to the parts department and got a price of $575. That's when I asked them to hold the part until I found out if insurance would cover it and they said they would since it was the last in stock. I told the ladies at the collision center that parts was holding it for me and that's how they got it so quickly. When I went in to drop my truck for the repair, I asked if I could have the old wiring harness since the new part was inclusive of a new lens and harness. I was told to do so would cost me an extra $125 ( not covered by insurance) since this was considered a core exchange since the new part came with it. I said just go ahead and replace it and that I would not want to pay the extra. Now comes the bad report. When I went to pick up my truck after the repair, I crawled under it and found that the old wiring harness was still in place. When I questioned this, I was told I would have to talk to Mr. Mark. When talking to him, he said I was the first person whoever questioned this practice. He said in all the years he had been doing this he never had a harness go bad. I said that the new part came with a new harness and should be put in since that is what I and the insurance was paying for. After some more discussion he took my truck back and put the new harness on. My question, what were they going to do with the new harness, toss it or sell it on another vehicle???? So, am I the first person to question this and if so how many others have been duped into thinking they had a completely new assembly??? This is very bad business and this letter needs to go viral to stop this practice.

Todd Suprun and service team took care of my Truck and Todd worked with Warranty company to get a replacement transmission and parts. The team also found an engine mount (covered by Warranty) that needed to be replaced, and the back shocks were worn so while the Truck was at the shop all was attended to. End price was more than I expected but I was not out as much as I feared going in. Excellent advisor and service team work. Thank you. I'll buy my next truck from Ross Downing.

Better communication in a reasonable time frame is but most importance. If you’re running behind, make a call and inform those who wait for their turn, give them the choice to make a decision to reschedule or remain in the queue. Time management is lacking on your part. A customer should not have to continue to call and check on their appointment progress. One call can ease a customers mind just stating and updating customers on progress or delays. Not knowing can be unsettling and draining. We are just as important as our vehicles. For most of us it gives us independence and means to a job. Consider that one phone call for any status update. It is a game changer on our end. Establish trust with your customers when they intrust you with their transportation.
