I brought my 2024 corvette to have the first oil change done on it. The manager that i was schedule to talk to was Todd. He was great. He met me at the door when I pulled up and even new my name. My experience with Ross Downing Chevrolet Service was unacceptable. I brought in my 2021 C8 because the convertible top was not functioning properly. After a few days, I received a call stating that the repair would cost $7,700 due to bent rails. I went to the dealership to speak directly with the technician, who claimed the only way this damage could occur was by opening the top while driving. I informed him that the vehicle’s system prevents the top from operating above the speed Chevrolet designed it for, making his explanation implausible. I explained to him that the car was parked in my driveway being detailed when it happened. I also reported that the rear window wouldn’t operate electronically and could only be moved manually using an Allen key at the rear window motor. Furthermore, the convertible top lifted on the passenger side but not on the driver’s side. The tonneau cover moved to the closed position while the top was opening, causing it to strike the convertible roof. These symptoms clearly indicate the top was out of sync and that the motor or controller on the driver’s side was malfunctioning. Despite this, the technician doubled down on his wind damage theory, dismissing the mechanical failures I described. It was evident he made no effort to properly diagnose the problem. When the extended warranty adjuster arrived, the technician repeated the same baseless claim about wind damage without conducting any additional troubleshooting. Therefore causing my extended warranty to deny the claim. In my view, the technician lacked the skill—or willingness—to properly diagnose the issue. His personal assumptions interfered with a professional and accurate assessment of the problem. I will be contacting the District Service Manager and opening a formal case with the Executive Resolution Team. Additionally, I will be sharing my experience across all Corvette forums where I’m an active member, and this message has already been relayed to my Corvette Club. Once I receive the Chevrolet survey, I will be responding with the same level of detail and seriousness expressed here.

I was an out of state buyer and did everything remotely. The salesman was not timely with responding to my questions and addressing my concerns. I would text and call him and get a response four or five hours later if not more, with the rationale that it is a busy dealership. Towards the end of my car buying experience I decided to reach out directly to the finance manager to address my concerns and he addressed them timely. Overall, I love the car and appreciate the finance manager taking time out of his day to help a customer. I recommend that you look into the out of state buying process and ensure that salesman are equipped with dealing with these customers effectively and have the time to serve these customers because I’ve purchased many cars this way and this one was the worse experience. No negotiation was needed, only needed to answer some questions timely. Oh last part is I received my car on Saturday and didn’t even have a tag or paperwork to drive the car till Monday. Once again, I ask that you look into the remote buying process because you can lose potential great customers with the inefficiencies and poor service that exists.l in this area.

I made a reservation for service for June 4th. My truck sat on the lot for 3 days without even being looked at. I was told the shop was backed up with serval jobs that were just taken. What is the point of the reservation? If you don’t have the space then why are you taking reservations? Also communication was terrible. I received little to no information unless I called and asked questions.

While I was traveling in my company truck, it broke done on Highway 12 just down the road from the dealership. Todd greeted me when I walked and treated my I was a longtime customer. He was able to get my truck in the shop and point me towards a the car rental place next door, so I can continue my trip. The service department had parts on hand and I was able to pick up the truck 2 days later on my return trip.

My vehicle was stolen and I took it in for a comprehensive diagnostic test to make sure it was mechanically sound and safe. I was told it only needed motor mounts, which I had changed. When I left there was a loud noise. I brought it back and it was the transmission. I relied on the original estimate to keep my vehicle that had been totaled. Now I am out the $1,400 for the motor mount plus the additional amount the insurance would have paid me.

Our salesperson, Tori, was great to deal with. Not pushy and very friendly. One downside to the experience was there was only one finance person at the dealership and it took forever to get in his office since there were four people ahead of us. Once we got in there, he was good to deal with. Only thing I was a bit dissatisfied with, they didn’t detail my truck before I picked it up. They had plenty time as I did the deal on Friday night and I didn’t come pick it up until Monday evening. It was right off the truck, so they had to finish setting it up, but they didn’t clean anything. The carpets had a ton of lint I had to spend an hour or so getting that cleaned.

The service team took three (3) days to diagnose my vehicle for a transmission failure, which is way too long. I was then provided a $9,000 plus estimate to repair my vehicle without any breakdown of what that costs intels. A cost of $9,000 plus is more than the vehicle is worth. Three days to determine there is a transmission failure is an unacceptable amount of time. On the really high cost, I would like to see a price breakdown of what that intels on a transmission replacement. I would also like the service team to provide customers with other options when there’s an extraordinary cost, .

I was there an extremely long time which was quite frustrating. And it's so cold in there that it was miserable. Fortunately, Cherise told me there was a bench outside the Service entrance where I could warm up. The dealership does an awesome job of taking care of my little vehicle but I don't think an oil change/tire rotation should take 2 hours.

I asked before service began if they check the tire pressure and was told they do. When I got my truck back the tire pressure was still the same as it was when dropped off. The recommended pressure listed on the tag in the door is 38 psi and the tires had 31 and 32 psi. I really would think they would check this during the inspection.

Working with Todd in service is great. The design engineers need to be fired. A $ 176.00 thermostat requires five hours of labor at over $200 an hour. So, a thousand dollars to change a $176 part. Ruined my day!

Todd Suprun and service team took care of my Truck and Todd worked with Warranty company to get a replacement transmission and parts. The team also found an engine mount (covered by Warranty) that needed to be replaced, and the back shocks were worn so while the Truck was at the shop all was attended to. End price was more than I expected but I was not out as much as I feared going in. Excellent advisor and service team work. Thank you. I'll buy my next truck from Ross Downing.

First of all, I want to give kudos to the ladies in the office. They helped me get the repairs scheduled quickly after I told them that I had to schedule around my wife's therapy. After that though it was downhill. When I was trying to do the repair myself, I called many auto parts stores and realized that having the repairs done at Ross Downing would be covered by my insurance. Before scheduling the repair, I had already talked to the parts department and got a price of $575. That's when I asked them to hold the part until I found out if insurance would cover it and they said they would since it was the last in stock. I told the ladies at the collision center that parts was holding it for me and that's how they got it so quickly. When I went in to drop my truck for the repair, I asked if I could have the old wiring harness since the new part was inclusive of a new lens and harness. I was told to do so would cost me an extra $125 ( not covered by insurance) since this was considered a core exchange since the new part came with it. I said just go ahead and replace it and that I would not want to pay the extra. Now comes the bad report. When I went to pick up my truck after the repair, I crawled under it and found that the old wiring harness was still in place. When I questioned this, I was told I would have to talk to Mr. Mark. When talking to him, he said I was the first person whoever questioned this practice. He said in all the years he had been doing this he never had a harness go bad. I said that the new part came with a new harness and should be put in since that is what I and the insurance was paying for. After some more discussion he took my truck back and put the new harness on. My question, what were they going to do with the new harness, toss it or sell it on another vehicle???? So, am I the first person to question this and if so how many others have been duped into thinking they had a completely new assembly??? This is very bad business and this letter needs to go viral to stop this practice.

Great experience and really wonderful people. My salesperson was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the transaction super easy. The dealership was humming with activity and I could tell they were selling a lot of cars but I felt like a valued customer. The new car delivery was exceptional and our new car was spotless. I’m not a fan of weather guard instead of carpet floor mats and that small issue was handled immediately and to my full and total satisfaction.

If you’re running behind, make a call and inform those who wait for their turn, give them the choice to make a decision to reschedule or remain in the queue. Time management is lacking on your part. A customer should not have to continue to call and check on their appointment progress. One call can ease a customers mind just stating and updating customers on progress or delays. Not knowing can be unsettling and draining. We are just as important as our vehicles. For most of us it gives us independence and means to a job. Consider that one phone call for any status update. It is a game changer on our end. Establish trust with your customers when they intrust you with their transportation.

My car wouldn't cooperate so it took them a while and the still couldn't repair everything. And when I got the car back, the right turn signal doesn't work right now. But otherwise, the people were really nice. Communication was great. The repairs that were made went well. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

I went in after work one day and was super nervous, keep in mind this was my first time getting a NEW car. My sales and leasing consultant Lasi Brown was above and beyond, very informative, and professional. She made the process super easy for me to where I didn’t have to really worry much at all! Worst experience that I ever had buying a vehicle. RJ was my salesman and did not represent me well at all. On Saturday March 21 he was nice showing me the truck and I mention to him about the all season tires being on a 4X4, he agreed a lot of people complained about that but he thought he could get them swapped with all terrain with maybe a little more money. I thought that could be a fair deal. I called RJ back on Monday March 16 to try to make a deal. He finally got back with me on Tuesday March 17. With no deal made I decided to sell my truck and Ross Downing would do a curtesy N Out. I called RJ back on Thursday March 19 to tell him that I sold my truck and let’s get all deal and paper work complete. Friday March 21 I still do not have a finale deal. Monday March 23 I call RJ and he said he was off that he would have finance manager call me and he did, and he was suppose to call me back with answers but never did. Every time I call I talked to a different person. I was trying to get everything coordinated with the N Out and purchase of my new truck. RJ text me and said ask for Joseph When I got there. I said ok make sure all paper work is complete and that I would be there by 5:00. When I got there at 5pm with my friend we had to wait almost 2 hours. They also tried to charge my friend $450 for a courtesy N Out for inspecting my truck that I was selling to him. Then Lasi said she was going to handle the N out and sale of new truck instead of Joseph. Lasi ask my friend and I to sit at her desk and then she begins talking about my finances in front of my friend who is buying my old truck. I ask her what she was doing, and she looked confused. I told her all the paper work is complete. After me being embarrassed and my friend, Lasi gets up and comes back and said she didn’t know it was complete. She should have never mention any kind of finances in front of anyone. That was unprofessional. That should always be PRIVATE…I liked Lasi and I don’t blame her, she was thrown in at the last minute. When I finally get into the finance managers office, it’s not the same finance manager I had be talking to. At this point I’m thinking this is almost too much shit. As you know, I did buy the truck. I left there at 8pm. And everything was supposed to be ready when I got there. It really was a shit show. Very unprofessional. All they are worried about is selling vehicle's in volume not servicing a life long customer. Very very disappointed in Ross Downing… I do want to say if not for Jospeh and Lasi, I would have walked out by 6:30 and bought at another dealership. If anyone deserves commission on my sale it is Lasi and Jospeh. If not for them the 2026 High Country would still be at Ross Downing. And by the way I bought the truck at advertised price minus $500. As you can tell I’m happy with the truck minus the tires and RJ and the managers . Acted liked they just didn’t give a shit if I bought. By the way I was approved for 3 days and they still could care less.

The wife car needed a break job and the work was preformed flawlessly let me say that first. so i made an appointment to bring it in when we do this i have to rent a car no big deal get the rental go to the dealership 2 doors down drop off the car. upon arrival this is on a Thursday at 1pm my appointment time they tell my wife they have 2 or 3 vehicles ahead of her and they should be able to get to her car in a couple of days! and the problem i have with this is i live close to the dealer doing the repair why make an appointment to get in line do they not communicate with the techs doing the work to see hey when do you think you will be done with these other cars? and i understand they can run into an situation with the other vehicle but the issue i have is her car was still drivable the breaks were not making noise or anything, so at this point we have the rental not bringing it back so we kind of had no choice but to go with it. and i have never experienced this yet at Bill Hood we always went there its where i purchased 4 corvettes from and 2 truck starting in 2014. i have never dealt with anything like this in my lifetime this is now to me and i am 60yo. so on top of my break job and tires i had a week on the rental another $800.00 that i was not expecting maybe a couple of days for breaks but it did not go that way. but going forward i will check with service department to see when it will actually get looked at not where we are in line or we might have to choose a different dealer.
